Cisco Systems recently announced the decision to advance its Tetration Analytics platform, in order to ensure that businesses that use it meet the demands of an increasingly complex cybersecurity ecosystem.
In an announcement made last week, the San Jose, California based technology giant touted that its newest Tetration Analytics helps automate policy enforcement, enabling organizations to build secure environments for their business applications.
The company also added new deployment options to the analytics platform, with new options that target Hybrid IT use cases.
Considering the rapidly expanding trend of applications spanning across virtual, bare metal, physical servers, private and public clouds, the IT landscape has now become a lot harder for enterprises to navigate and manage.
Cisco notes that it has advanced previous discovery and visibility capabilities, with the new software providing what it calls the industry’s first consistent security policy enforcement applied holistically across each application.
And this is, regardless of where the application resides, which is excellent news for businesses and organizations that are engaged in Hybrid IT.
There are a number of companies that have latched on to this opportunity to target the Hybrid IT space.
Companies like Cisco and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) are now transforming their solutions, and instead of just offering their own cloud platforms, these companies are focusing on helping enterprises shift to multi-cloud and IT infrastructure environments.
In fact, it was in late January that Cisco made official its plan to acquire application performance management platform AppDynamics in a deal that is said to be worth $3.7 billion.
